Hiking the Caucasus

Hiking the Caucasus

Today, we hike Georgia's 🇬🇪 Mt. Kazbek region, located less than 10 km from the border with Russia. I am alone, completely out of my comfort zone, yet totally at ease. Perhaps because I'm wearing my new Clouds cork insoles.

Sometimes, taking that plunge, that jump, that fall, is all you need to get that much more in touch with yourself. Your primal self. I love going to places where I don't speak the language, don't yet know much about the culture, and where there is still an abundance of untouched natural habitat.

Georgia is definitely such a country. And I haven't even mentioned the food!

Up next week: Armenia 🇦🇲
