Biodegradation only occurs under specific environmental conditions, such as in controlled composting or the right biological ecosystem, ensuring the product remains stable and reliable during use.
After around 3 months in the right biological conditions with moisture, microorganisms begin breaking down the material into natural components like biomass, water, and CO₂.

Circular by Design
Cork is a naturally regenerative resource that can be recycled again and again. Primal Slippers are sourced, handcrafted, and recycled entirely in Portugal, creating a fully circular system rooted in local craftsmanship and responsibility. At the end of their life, used slippers are collected and recycled into the upcycled bottom layers of new pairs, closing the loop and turning waste into material once more.
